 A LITTLE GIRL'S DREAM COME TRUE
Once up on a time there was a little girl who loved animals deep in the heart of East Texas. Now this little girl had more pets that most children her age but there was still one pet she just had to have....a Bearded Dragon. She had loved Bearded Dragons from the time her Aunt had bought "Jewel" for herself. One snowy day in April (yes, just her mom and dads luck a freak snow fall they had to drive threw) her Aunt said she could have one of her Breadies "Kadio". So the made the long trip to bring Kadio home.
Now the little girl, Jessica, was a little small to be able to assume full responsibility for a Beardie so mom had to help. Besides who else was going to drive to the store and buy greens and crickets. Mom repeated that this was Jessica's dragon and she was only going to help. She had 10 Pekingese to care for as well. But as faith would have it Mom slowly fell in love with Kadio, after all who could not love a lizard who would bang on the glass of her tank to get attention.
One day Jessica's Aunt called and ask if Mom and Jessica would like to have ALL her Bearded Dragons. Mom was a little unsure but Jessica was thrilled. Now she would have her one true love, Jewel. As for poor dad, being the wonderful husband and father he was he went along with it.
A mad scramble took place for over a week in their home. After all 5 more Bearded Dragons would need lots of room. And one of the Beardies was due to lay eggs so mom spent hours on in studying and trying to learn everything she could about caring for them.
At last they all arrived and settled in, "Cairo" had laid her eggs and everyone was excitedly waiting for the new babies to hatch. One day in September ( 9-11 as a matter of fact) mom lifted the lid on the incubator and there sat their very first baby Bearded Dragon! Not much bigger than a silver dollar but big enough to steal the hearts of every one in the house. And from that day forward Mom, Dad and Jessica decided they would no longer just raise Pekingese. They knew there was enough love in their hearts to raise Bearded Dragons as well. Thus was the beginning of Bearded Dragons by Seminole Ranch.

Who we are:
We are Michael David and Mindy Sims, Owners and founders of Seminole Ranch. We are currently are working our breeding program towards high quality Orange, Tangerine and Red Bearded Dragons although we do have a few other colors available as well. Our Dragons lines include Rich Beasley Reds, Desert Dragons LLC, Hancock Dragons and Florida Orange. When breeding our dragons we look not only for high color but for over all health, size and temperament. We not only want our dragons to look good but to also be health and loving pets. Although our dragons began as a pet for our daughter as we decided to breed we took it very just as seriously as we have with our Pekingese. Many hours of research, love and care goes in to each baby we produce.
All of our animals are our "pets" first and far most, we will never breed one of our babies just to make a dollar if we feel it would be a risk or a danger to them in any way. And although it does become a little crowed and hectic at times all of our pets remain in our home with us.We welcome phone calls and visitors with an appointment.
